For orders placed in the online store, we will generally ship each order out on the next business day after we receive it. The cutoff is 5 pm Pacific Time.

By default, most products ship for free in the continental USA using the Postal Service's "Priority" program. This service guarantees 1-3 day delivery. A product that has this shipping option available will have passed appropriate stability testing.
On weekends, the postal service does not deliver priority mail, but they continue to move it towards its destination. That means, Friday is an excellent time for an order to ship out, for arrival on Monday.
If you are in a hurry, you have the option to select 1-day shipping in the form of "USPS Priority Express" or "Fedex Priority Overnight".
We can ship directly to any country worldwide. Generally this would use a "Fedex Priority" envelope, which can cost in the range of $50 - $80. Any product that has international shipping enabled will have undergone appropriate stability testing at 37C.
We declare our products truthfully as "non-hazardous biologics used in science" and declare their customs value as required by law. We can add other truthful declarations as needed. If you know what paperwork you need, we're glad to help -- please contact us. We guarantee that the packages leave the United States as ordered.
However, importing requirements into each individual country vary. This is beyond our ability to control. It is therefore your responsibility to take care of any import-related matters. This includes paperwork, such as permits. Customs declarations. Payment of duties. And anything else related to the process of importing goods into your country.
If you are unsure about your importing requirements, contact your authorities. Also, consider ordering a small inexpensive ample first to test the process.
We do not refund or replace products lost or damaged during importing.
At Gene And Cell Technologies, there will be no surprise backorders. Product inventory is tracked by automated systems. If something is not in stock, online ordering is automatically disabled. If you can add it to your cart and check it out, you can be assured that it is available to ship immediately.
We manufacture all products at our headquarters in California. This makes it unlikely that we run out of something and need to "backorder" it in the way re-selling companies do. We will generally begin making a new batch well before everything is sold.
If you require unusually large quantities of a product (meaning much more than the largest regular lots offered in the online store), feel free to contact us for availability and any additional volume discounts.
After you place an order in the online store, you will get automated emails that keep you posted on your order's progress. In one of these, there will be a link to your receipt in .pdf format.
We accept purchase order forms for orders larger than USD $5,000 from reputable organizations (subject to credit review). Please contact us to arrange exchange of the necessary forms by email. Smaller orders must be placed through the online store. We apologize for the convenience.
Returns and Refunds
Our products are guaranteed to perform to the specifications stated on our website. In the unlikely event that you should find a product does not perform as advertised, please contact us with the relevant experimental results. We will consider any claim of failure to meet specification, if it is filed within 6 months of purchase.
In such a case, we would offer either a free replacement with working product, or a full refund, depending on the nature of the perceived product defect, your preferences and our abilities. Products cannot be refunded for a mere change of mind. Due to their perishable and consumable nature, it will often not make sense to return any products.
